Agreement and Apple license
These terms govern your use of CueStitch, provided by Kaielian. By using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, stop using it. If you are below the age at which you can enter this agreement in your country, a parent or guardian must review and agree where required.
The license to the app is governed by Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement. These terms describe the app’s service, purchases and content handling and do not replace that license or limit mandatory consumer rights. Apple is not the provider of CueStitch’s rehearsal or support services.
Features and supported use
CueStitch lets you import a script, assign a role, hear other roles with on-device system voices or your own line recordings, rehearse with manual or automatic cueing, hide lines, keep notes and export material you choose. With Pro, it can also record a self-tape with an on-screen prompt. It is designed for iPhone and iPad with iOS 17 or later. Features depend on the script, installed voices, on-device speech support, granted permissions and available device resources.
You can import text PDFs, scanned PDFs, Fountain files, images and pasted text, within a 200 MB limit for a single file. Scanning and complex or handwritten layouts can miss or misread text. Check scenes, character names and dialogue against your original before relying on them. The script language is independent of the app’s interface language. The app does not translate the script.
Free features and CueStitch Pro
The free edition keeps up to three scripts editable at once and up to 20 source pages in each. It includes listening, manual cueing, timed gaps, line hiding, notes, line recordings and single-line review. Up to two basic device voices per supported language can be used in a script. Every available voice can be previewed, and automatic cueing can be tried on the first 10 lines of the selected role.
Pro is a non-consumable, one-time purchase. It is not a subscription, does not automatically renew, and is not a time-limited trial of every feature. It unlocks more projects, imports up to 200 pages, all available voices and voice presets, focused practice, saved practice sets, multiple role setups, script-version comparison and preparation transfer, a printable rehearsal PDF, extra themes, and new self-tape recordings with an on-screen prompt. Existing videos can still be reviewed without starting a new recording. Device limits, the 200 MB file limit and on-device recognition limits still apply.
The price and currency shown in Apple’s purchase confirmation apply. No fixed price is promised on this website. Pro provides access to the purchased features while the app and compatible services remain available. It does not promise perpetual operation on every future device, or that every future separately sold product is included.
Payment, restoration and refunds
Apple processes payments. RevenueCat verifies and restores Pro entitlements. Use Settings → Restore purchases with the Apple Account used for the original purchase. Purchase and restoration may require an internet connection and available Apple and RevenueCat services. A verified refund or revocation can remove Pro access.
For an eligible purchase, request a refund through Apple’s refund service. Eligibility is determined by Apple and applicable law. We cannot issue App Store refunds directly. Contact hi@kaielian.com if a purchase or restoration does not appear. Deleting the app does not itself request a refund.
Your content and permissions
You retain ownership of your scripts, notes, recordings, videos and other material you import or create. We claim no ownership of them. The app processes them on your device to provide the rehearsal features you choose. You are responsible for having the rights needed to import, reproduce, record and share that material, including scripts written by someone else and recordings of other people.
Do not use the app to infringe intellectual property or privacy rights, create unlawful content, or interfere with the app or purchase services. Do not evade paid-feature controls or redistribute the app contrary to its license.
Recognition, voices and rehearsal results
Automatic cueing is a practice aid. On-device recognition can miss words, repeat them or confuse similar sounds, and it may be unavailable for a language or device. A countdown does not use the microphone to decide that a line is finished. System voices may pronounce names or unusual words differently from your intention. Pronunciation rules and your own recordings are tools you control; they are not a guarantee of a particular performance.
Review the imported text, casting and cues yourself before an audition, class or performance. CueStitch does not replace a director, teacher or scene partner, and it does not promise that a line has been memorized or performed correctly.
Storage and backups
This version stores projects locally and does not provide working iCloud sync. Keep your own copies of scripts and recordings you cannot afford to lose, using the app’s backup or export when you want a separate copy. Deleting a project, clearing app data or deleting the app can remove local material. Recently Deleted is temporary until you delete those items permanently.
Deleting a project inside CueStitch does not remove a video already saved to Photos, a file already exported, or a copy you shared. Generated voice audio may be cleared from Storage Management and is not a substitute for your script or your own recordings. Self-tape videos remain on the device unless you export or save them.
Privacy and external services
Our privacy policy explains local processing, permissions, on-device recognition, purchase information and optional support messages. You decide what to export, save, share or email.
Apple, RevenueCat, and services you choose for saving or sharing have their own terms and policies. Their availability and behavior are outside our control. CueStitch does not provide a content-hosting service or an account system. Personal iCloud sync is not available in this version.
App intellectual property
The app’s software, interface, branding and supplied sample material belong to Kaielian or their respective licensors. Your license permits use of the app to rehearse and create your own outputs within these terms. It does not transfer ownership of the app or authorize redistribution of its software as a competing product. Third-party license notices remain applicable.
Availability, warranties and liability
We aim to provide a useful, reliable app, but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, compatibility with every file, device or language, error-free recognition, or a particular audition or performance result. To the extent permitted by law, the app is supplied as available, subject to the warranties and remedies in the applicable Apple license.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from an unreadable script, a missed cue, lost local content, a sharing decision or an unavailable external service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud, intentional misconduct or other protected consumer remedies.
Updates and ending use
You may stop using the app at any time. Features, supported formats and these terms may change as the app evolves. Material changes will be communicated where required; the effective date identifies this version. Changes do not remove rights already protected by law.
A material violation may result in termination of your license under the applicable Apple license and law. Local content remains your responsibility to manage; we cannot remotely access or erase it.
Applicable law and contact
The applicable Apple license governs licensing and its choice of law. Any mandatory laws and consumer protections of your place of residence remain applicable. These service terms do not require you to waive a legally protected right to bring a claim before a competent court or authority.
