Who we are and what this policy covers
Kaielian develops Glimstamp, an iPhone app for adding captions, dates and watermarks to photos, organizing albums, printing and exporting media. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the app. Contact us at hi@kaielian.com.
This policy covers the app. Visiting our support and legal pages is covered separately by the website privacy policy.
Your photos, writing and settings
The app processes selected photos and videos, captions, album names, signatures, imported PNG marks, saved styles and export preferences on your device. It may read capture dates, time-zone offsets, camera settings and GPS coordinates already present in the selected media or its Photos library information. It does not request your current device location.
Album records, captions, styles and preferences are stored in the app’s local storage. Depending on how you import a photo and the access you grant, the app stores a local copy or a reference to the selected Photos item, along with metadata and previews. Exported files are created locally. We do not operate a server that receives your photo library, videos, albums or captions.
Photos permissions and iCloud originals
The system photo picker lets you choose the media to edit. Additional Photos access may be requested to read an original, capture details or Live Photo resources, or to organize results in a named Photos album. Limited access is supported. Saving new results to Photos requires permission to add photos. You can change these permissions in iOS Settings at any time; features needing that access may then be unavailable.
An original stored only in iCloud Photos may need to be downloaded through Apple’s system services before it can be edited. Glimstamp does not provide its own iCloud album or caption sync. Device backups, iCloud Photos and files you choose to save in a cloud service are governed by your system settings and that service’s policies, including Apple’s privacy policy.
Apple and RevenueCat purchases
Glimstamp Pro is a one-time in-app purchase. Apple handles payment; we do not receive your card details. The app uses RevenueCat to load offers, validate purchases and restore Pro access. RevenueCat is initialized when purchasing is configured and may contact its service when you open the app, even before you buy.
Purchase processing uses a generated app user identifier, purchase and transaction records, product and entitlement status, and technical information needed to communicate with the service. The app does not provide RevenueCat with your photos, captions, signatures or email address. We use purchase records to provide and restore Pro access, resolve purchase issues and understand purchase activity. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy.
Feedback and email support
If you choose to email us, we receive your email address, message and anything you attach. The app’s feedback draft also includes app version and build, iOS version, device model, selected language and Free or Pro status. It does not include a purchase identifier. You can review and edit the email before sending. The app does not automatically send this feedback.
We use this information to answer questions and investigate problems. Please avoid sending private media or payment details. We do not use feedback emails to link your email address to RevenueCat purchase records.
Exports, location and sharing
Photo exports remove GPS location metadata by default. Export settings can retain location or capture metadata. Captions may also be written into the exported photo’s description metadata. Dates, captions, signatures, camera details or coordinates rendered visibly onto a photo or video remain visible even if file metadata is removed. Turn off coordinate display in the content controls if you want to hide it.
Saving to Photos, sharing a PDF or other file, or printing sends the result to the destination you choose, such as your Photos library, Files provider, share destination or AirPrint printer. That destination may store or transmit the content under its own policies. Check both the visible result and export settings before sharing.
Why information is used
Local information is used to deliver the edits, albums and exports you request. Purchase information is used to fulfill and verify purchases, maintain entitlements and prevent misuse. Support information is used to respond to you. Where applicable, the legal bases are performance of our agreement, legitimate interests in support and service integrity, your consent when required, and compliance with legal obligations. System permission controls remain available regardless of these bases.
Tracking and disclosure
The app contains no advertising SDK, advertising identifier collection or separate general usage analytics or remote crash-reporting SDK. We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-app advertising tracking. Purchase activity handled by RevenueCat is distinct from general photo-editing activity.
Information leaving the app is limited to the purchase services and destinations described above, support you choose to send, and any disclosures required by law or necessary to protect legal rights. We do not share your local photo content with RevenueCat.
Retention, deletion and backups
Albums, captions, imported media and styles remain locally until you remove them or delete the app. Albums have a short undo window after deletion. Settings → Clear temporary exports removes temporary output files; it does not erase saved albums, styles or Photos items. iOS Delete App removes the app’s local data; Offload App retains its documents and data.
Photos and files saved outside the app, printed copies and device or cloud backups are separate copies that you must manage in their respective locations. Some albums reference Photos originals; deleting an original or revoking access can make that item unavailable in Glimstamp.
Support messages and purchase records are retained only as needed for the purposes described above, legal obligations and resolving disputes. Deleting the app does not automatically remove Apple or RevenueCat transaction records. Contact us to request deletion of support or identifiable purchase-related information; legal retention and purchase-restoration needs may limit what can be erased.
Security and service locations
The app uses the iOS app sandbox and system file protection for saved records. These measures reduce risk but cannot guarantee complete security. Protect your device and review the services you use for sharing and backup.
Purchase services and email providers may process information outside your country, including in the United States. Their policies describe their processing practices. Where applicable law requires safeguards for transfers we arrange, we will use the required safeguards.
Your choices and rights
You control Photos permissions, visible content, export metadata and local deletion. Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection, and a right to withdraw consent where processing relies on it or complain to a relevant supervisory authority.
For information we hold, write to hi@kaielian.com. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify your request. Do not send passwords or payment-card details. We cannot retrieve or erase content that exists only on your device. See privacy choices for practical steps.
Children’s privacy
Glimstamp is not specifically directed to children. We do not knowingly collect children’s personal information through support or purchase services contrary to applicable law. If a child may have provided personal information to us, contact us so we can address it. A parent or guardian should supervise use and purchases where required.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy when features or information handling change. The effective date on this page identifies the current version; material changes will be communicated as required by applicable law. Privacy questions can be sent to hi@kaielian.com.
